If you’re looking for the best costume, props and other items for your sasuke collection and or cosplay, you’ve just stumbled upon the perfect article. There are a myriad of options online and it can be intimidating to choose from all the available options.
This is an all-in-one guide for all your Sasuke gear needs so we’ll try to cover as much as we can pertaining to all his costumes and equipment from both the Naruto and the Boruto series. We will be covering all the different costumes and looks that Sasuke has below and we will also cover any accessories too. Here’s everything you need to know:
What to Look Out for When Buying Sasuke Attire?
With Sasuke’s costume and props, you need to look out for suppliers or sellers that can provide you with the items that will fit you perfectly, if it’s a costume you’d want to use, and the items should also be of high quality.
There is nothing worse than bad looking gear, especially when you are trying to look exactly like the character. While this may seem all too obvious, most merchants only have general sizing with the costumes they have for sale.
This means that while you fit in a small, medium, or large frame, the costume might still not be ideal or perfect for you. A lot of cosplayers experience this issue though this can be fixed with a little sewing know how.
Mending the costume though might not be an inconvenience you can’t afford because you might not have enough time to repair it for an event or a project. Or you don’t know how to repair a costume for it to fit you better.
Especially with this costume, the collar has a major impact on the overall look of the costume. Having a collar too wide, narrow, short or tall is something you certainly don’t want to have.
Look for merchants who are open to customized orders. This way, you can be guaranteed that you will get a costume you will like each time. Here’s a fine example:
More than the costume, you also have to be wary of the other items you’d want to purchase. For your collection, see that merchants have a good business history of selling quality products and providing good customer service.
For cosplay, there are certain props that are not allowed for competitions and events. Be mindful of these props. Such props are those that have sharp edges, pointed tips and other items that can potentially endanger other people.
Be Mindful of Colors and Textures
What separates excellent costumes from the rest is attention to detail. Cosplay is aesthetic-heavy and if you want people to admire your Sasuke gear, you have to be mindful of the colors and textures of the costume you are going to purchase.
The color and texture of the cloth material needs to be accurate if it were to be brought to life. Moreover, the cloth should not be of poor quality. In cosplay, you get what you pay for.
A good tip we can give you is to have a costume with colors darker than the original design.
There is not a strict rule in terms of the specificity of fabric. As long as the feel and look matches the costume, there are no issues. However, we recommend that you not go for bright fabrics such as silk unless the costume requires bright fabrics.
Bright fabrics can often make costumes look cheap or too cartoon-y. A lot of costumes are made of cotton or polyester. As mentioned earlier, fabrics don’t matter all too much as long as they’re of quality.
You know when fabrics are of poor quality when they are too thin and easily get stretched. Avoid costumes made of poor quality materials. There is good quality cotton and poor quality cotton. There’s basically good and bad quality of each type of fabric.
This gives the costume a more realistic look. We suggest staying away from shiny cloth materials as they can make your costume look cheap and cartoonish. While there are a lot of inexpensive costumes on the market, most of them are of poor quality.
Know Your Budget
If you plan on getting better or seriously into cosplay, you will still end up purchasing costumes and props with better quality. We recommend allotting a reasonable budget for your Sasuke cosplay. This is also true if you plan to purchase Sasuke items for your collection.
Even if you only plan to cosplay once, you can rent out or sell the costume you bought if it is of good quality. If you only want to try doing cosplay and buy a cheap costume, it might not give you the experience you are expecting.
Moreover, once you are done cosplaying, you might not even want to keep the costume if it is poor quality.

Akatsuki Sasuke Costume
Sasuke once helped the Akatsuki and while acting on their behalf to get Killer Bee of the Hidden Cloud, Sasuke and his group members wore Akatsuki cloaks.
You won’t have a problem finding Akatsuki cloaks for sale online as the Akatsuki members are some of the most cosplayed characters. But we found that this particular cloak is one of the best if not the best out there for quality and budget. You can find it here at akatsukicostume.com.
It has 4.3 out of 5 stars on Amazon and has sizes from small to XL available. Their product is accurate to the original design and you can see a lot of customers raving about their merchandise on the comment section.
Boruto Sasuke Costume
Here’s another good example for another of Sasuke’s costume that you can find on Amazon.
Sasuke Sharingan Lenses
As you may already know, Sasuke’s Sharingan changed a couple of times as it became more powerful. This happened through his own determination or through interventions such as when Itachi and Hagoromo gave him some of their powers.
To make it easier for you, we did the research and found a seller who already has most of the Sharingan’s available. If you are interested, here’s the link for Sharingan contact lenses on Amazon.
We also found the rinnegan that Sasuke has. However, it’s not found anywhere on Amazon. Contact lenses for Sasuke’s rinnegan can be bought here:
Sasuke’s sharingan when he was young is also not available on Amazon. You can purchase this specific stage of the sharingan here.
Sasuke Wigs
Good quality wigs can be hard to find. With wigs, you need to have a good budget as you might find that cheap wigs are just not worth having as an alternative option. Wigs of poor quality are very shiny and look very artificial.
Wigs can still look natural regardless of their color and style. These are the wigs you would want to purchase. Remember though that wigs may still need to be styled. Especially if the hairstyle is as complex as Sasuke’s is.
You can style wigs by using hair gel or pomade. Here’s a very good example of a wig you can purchase for your collection or you can use for a Sasuke cosplay, found on Amazon.
The benefits of purchasing a quality wig:
- Heat-resistant – you can use hairstyling tools such as a hair iron to help you with styling the wig. You can also hair shaping products such as hair gels, hair clay or hair spray.
Here are a few good hairstyling products that you can use from Amazon:
- Natural looking – you will look more impressive if the wig actually looks as if it were your natural hair. You can attract a lot of admirers just with a really good wig. Moreover, quality wigs don’t look overly unnatural. They don’t look synthetic nor are they too shiny, making them look like the strands were made of plastic.
- They add confidence – Quality wigs add confidence because you feel good when you wear an item that you know makes you look good. Wigs can be easily put on as the process is pretty much straightforward but there can be those that are more challenging.
Here’s a great guide to put on a wig:
- Long-lasting – quality wigs are more long-lasting than those of poor quality. Strands are less likely to be plucked out when styling it. It is known in the cosplay world that wigs bought from Japan are really of excellent quality. Cosplay in Japan is a serious business.
You don’t necessarily have to opt for Japanese brands but here are some of our recommendations:
- Airlily
- Assist Wig
- Cospedia Wig
- Prisila
- Swallowtail
Those are but some of the really good Japanese brands for wigs.
- You’ll want to treasure them – when you have purchased a really good wig and it really helps out with your cosplay, you are going to be motivated to keep it. This can mean that the money you used for the wig is already good for a lifetime of having it.
- Can be used for other characters – if there are other characters with almost identical hairstyles as Sasuke’s, you can use the same wig and just modify the style according to the other characters’. A good character that has somewhat similar hairstyle with Sasuke is Noctis from Final Fantasy XV.
- It costs you less – all the benefits of having a quality wig sums up to you saving money. When you purchase a really good quality wig, you end up satisfied and you won’t have to purchase another one to upgrade. Another reason how a quality wig can cost you less is that as mentioned earlier, it can last a long time.
This means that you won’t have to buy another similar wig because the last one you bought is no longer usable. With a quality and durable wig, you don’t have to spend more because of a lack in aesthetics, durability and lack of interest to care for it.
Sasuke Props, Accessories and More
Sasuke uses different weapons and items. Depending on the costume, these weapons and items vary. During his youth, he used kunais and a windmill shuriken. As he got older, he began using a sword.
If you cosplay not for an event, there is no limit to the type of props you can use. However, events have strict rules when it comes to cosplay props. You are not to use pointed, sharp or any props that can do harm to others.
I have nearly a decade of experience with cosplay and all the cosplay events I’ve attended have these rules pertaining to props. It’s safe to say that all events don’t allow sharp, pointed and any other props that can harm other people.
This means that you have to be mindful of the material and nature of the props you will want to purchase for your Sasuke cosplay if you are to do it for an event.
Here’s a list of props you will need for your Sasuke cosplay:
Forehead protector and Kunai
Most, if not all young shinobis, use forehead protectors and kunais. The qualities you need to look for in these items if you are to cosplay for an event are:
- Materials – props, especially weapons, should not be made of metal. We suggest you go for props that are made of plastic or eva foam.
- Weight – know that you are going to be wearing the costume for hours and hours. Be mindful of the weight of the props. Fortunately, a lot of props are already made of lightweight materials.
- Sharpness – again, do away with pointed and sharp props if you are to cosplay for an event. Otherwise, you risk your props getting confiscated or you not being allowed in the event. For the kunai, their tips and edges need to be blunted.
You can get the head band here. And you can get the Kunai here.
These products are of quality and follow the guideline we have when looking for props. They are made of plastic, are of good quality and they can be allowed if you want to use them for a cosplay event.
For your collection and this can also be used for cosplay, we also recommend this rubber kunai. It’s more accurate and more realistic looking and is completely harmless. It has good dimensions measuring 24 centimeters in length.
If you prefer this rubber kunai, you can purchase it here on Amazon.
Last but not the least, we recommend this metal throwing knife set which is based on the designs of the kunais from Naruto. The pack includes 6 throwing knives and a nylon pouch. Each knife is 6 and a half inches long and are accurate should the kunais from Naruto be brought to life.
They are aesthetic and functional. You can even use the pouch to go with Sasuke’s costume. You can purchase the metal throwing knife set here on Amazon.
Fuuma Shuriken
Sasuke is known to use the Fuuma shuriken. Unfortunately, there is no Fuuma shuriken available on Amazon. However, we are able to find something for you from another site. If you are looking for a Fuuma shuriken, you can purchase it here.
The Kusanagi, Sasuke’s Sword
The design of the Kusanagi sword changes with the progression of Sasuke’s character. It can be difficult to find a sword made of eva foam online. With swords, it would be best to have them if they were manufactured using metal.
Here are the benefits of having a sword made of metal:
- Highest Quality – metal swords are made by professionals who are excellent with their crafts in creating swords. A metal Kusanagi prop sword is the closest thing you can to the original in terms of design and material.
- Durable – metal swords are, of course, durable. You won’t have to worry about the prop breaking when you are doing a photoshoot or when you store the prop. Being durable also means that it can last for a very long time as long as you take good care of the prop.
- Low maintenance – contrary to popular assumptions, metal prop swords are low maintenance. You don’t have to look after it every day. If the metal used is stainless, you won’t even have to worry about the sword rusting.
- Accurate – as mentioned earlier, the design, finish and nature of a metal prop is the most accurate possible thing you can have to bring the fictional weapon to life. And in cosplay, accuracy is everything.
While we have mentioned that you should avoid metal, sharp or pointed weapons, they are at the highest tier in terms of quality. If your Sasuke cosplay is a personal project, a metal prop Kusanagi is the best option.
For events, it’s harder to find a kusanagi sword made of eva foam. Eva prop swords are also very delicate. Once the hardender within the prop breaks, it can be almost impossible to repair the prop eva sword.
If you are interested in purchasing a quality metal prop kusanagi, this would be our recommendation from Amazon.
